Red Stripe x Village Underground
Red Stripe’s Make with a Red Stripe series launches tomorrow at East London’s Village Underground with maverick sound artist Yuri Suzuki’s piece Make Something from Nothing.
Made from thousands of recycled Red Stripe cans collected at this year’s Notting Hill carnival, Suzuki’s immense fully functioning 2.5m high sound sculpture draws inspiration from towering, bass heavy Jamaican sound systems. The first of the series celebrating Red Stripe’s Jamaican roots, the exclusive launch party will see an exclusive DJ set by super talents Ben UFO & MC Chunky played through Suzuki’s DIY sound system with the full lineup announced closer to launch date here. Plus, there will be plenty of jerk chicken, rice & peas and free Red Stripe!
